Alpha Phi Omega is service organization sponsoring a Fall Food Drive. We would like to invite other campus organizations to join us in making this one of the most worthwhile service projects in Ames. Your organization will get to participate in a large-scale service project, APO will get to organize a major project, and the underprivileged of Ames will have a better opportunity to eat balanced and nutritious meals. APO will handle all organizational responsibilities to include: advertising, procuring collection bags, creating fliers to attach to the collection bags, coordinating with the three Ames-area food pantries, recording donations, and ensuring participants are duly recognized for their contributions. Your organization will be asked to staple fliers to 500 to 700 collection bags, distribute the collection bags on Wednesday afternoon or evening, October 11, and pickup the donated canned goods on Saturday, October 14. We will arrange to have the food pantries open and ready to receive food donations from 10:00 to 1:00 that Saturday. APO will provide maps, fliers, and collection bags.
