Letters to the editor: Eleven more reasons to vote for a democrat
September 19, 2000
If you can sleep at night knowing thousands of unborn children are murdered everyday in this country – vote for a democrat. If you don’t value your Second Amendment right to bear arms and believe actual criminals who break gun laws just need a slap on the hand – vote for a democrat. If you believe skin pigment is an important factor in university admissions and work force employment – vote for a democrat. If you think presidential campaign contributions should come from communist China – vote for a democrat. If you oppose freedom of religion – vote for a democrat. If you believe married couples should pay more taxes than the unmarried – vote for a democrat. If you believe in being taxed after death – vote for a democrat. If you believe inner-city kids should stay in crappy inner-city schools instead of getting vouchers to go to good schools – vote for a democrat. If you would like to see the face of the Supreme Court change from moderate to liberal – vote for a democrat. If you believe the needs of “Hollywood” represent the needs of “real people” – vote for a democrat. If it really does not bother you that the United States has lost respect in all parts of the world due to the last eight years of a democratic president, then by all means please vote for a democrat. I’m voting republican because I’m sick of paying the consequences of a blind nation voting for a democrat. Michael Vander Molen
