I am writing with a plea to those who lay out and edit the Daily’s crossword puzzles: Please provide the correct puzzle and the correct answers!

Earlier this week, the puzzle of the day was provided with THAT day’s answers listed below, meaning that the answers for the previous puzzle were never listed.

And the puzzle provided today (Nov. 18) is the same puzzle from yesterday, and I have no idea what the answers listed as “Yesterday’s Solution” are supposed to match up with.

This is certainly not the first time these sort of errors have been made.

Those of us who attempt the puzzle regularly are left to wonder, “What Asian capital was that?” or “Who is the June honoree?”

I know this isn’t anything life-shattering and that your staff has a million and one things to do for each edition of the Daily.

But if you are going to bother to put a crossword in the paper, please do it correctly for those of us who bother to work our way through the puzzle.
