Justifiable homicide

I am writing in response to Ksenija Pavlovic. In your letter, you make some good points. I agree with you in some areas, but overall, I disagree with you. I think the conflict in Yugoslavia could have been handled differently, like you.

I also agree with you that NATO bombing is killing many innocent people in Serbia.

I disagree with you that people are prejudiced toward people in Serbia. I know there are many Serbs who are loving, compassionate and who care for the innocent, defenseless Albanians being slaughtered for no reason.

These are good people in Yugoslavia who are stuck in the middle of this violence. I agree with you that we should see both sides of violence including innocent Serbs being killed.

In the letter you stated, “You have to open your eyes and understand that they are people just like you and me here dying everyday.”

I do see that innocent people are dying from NATO bombs, but let’s talk about the entire issue here. Why are NATO bombs falling? The reason NATO is bombing is because of the killing and slaughtering of a people just because they are different (much like the Jews killed by Hitler in WWII).

Peace talks were brought to Milosevic many times, and yet he refused to stop his madness of genocide.

He refused to stop killing. If 20 people come into school shooting people, you can bet that police will shoot those who are killing innocent people.

Sometimes you have to kill a killer to stop violence, especially when people are dealing with a madman in control of a country.

I do not think the use of violence should ever be used, but in some cases it is the only alternative to stop bloodshed from spreading.

This is why I think you need to open your eyes and comprehend why bombs are falling in Serbia. I know if my wife, mother, sister, father and relatives were being killed and raped for who they are, I would retaliate in their defense and support bombing of the person causing harm to them.
