Think for yourself
December 9, 1997
In the Dec. 4 edition of the Daily, Wendell Mosby is quoted in the article “Better luck the second time for constitution.” Mosby states that he voted against the constitution because the Black Student Alliance did not support it. Is this what we learn in college today?
Is the university pumping out a brainwashed collective, incapable of individual thought or action? I do not believe the university is responsible for this. Is it the Black Student Alliances fault?
No, it is not. I have met some very intelligent free thinkers who are members of BSA. I do not have an answer for this.
However, I do know that any person attending an institution of higher learning should be capable of thinking for himself.
I encourage everyone to be actively involved in a group or club; however, it also is important to remember to make up your own mind and to think for yourself.
