Quakers on conservation

On Sunday, Oct. 19, the Ames Friends (Quakers) will hold a forum on ethical issues in conservation.

The discussion will be led by Cele Burnett, environmental education coordinator for Story County Conservation and a legislator representing the 61st District (north Ames) in the Iowa General Assembly, as well as Rich Pirog, education coordinator for the leopold center for sustainable agriculture on the ISU campus.

The Ames Friends meet at the Heartland Senior Center, 205 S. Walnut Ave.

Guests are welcome to attend the hour of silent worship at 10 a.m. as well as the forum at 11 a.m.
