Total positive COVID-19 cases surpass 40,000 in Iowa
The Office of the President releases new information regarding masks, vaccinations and how the fall 2021 semester will look.

An additional 716 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Iowa by the Iowa Department of Public Health, making for a total of 40,509 positive cases.
Among those testing positive, a total of 28,883 have recovered.
Eight deaths from COVID-19 have been reported for a statewide total of 808.
In Story County, 16 more positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported for a total of 989 positive cases. The death toll in Story Count remains at 10.
