Iowa State originally had four athletes sign for its class of 2019 — Ryan Anderson, Aden Reeves, Julien Broderson and Caleb Young — but the Cyclones added one more to the class.

Kevin Dresser announced the addition of Ramazan Attasauov in a release on Tuesday.

“We are very excited to add Ramazan to this class,” Dresser said in the release. “He brings a huge upside, along with a great passion for the sport of wrestling. His Russian work ethic is very impressive. I am excited to see him excel in Ames.”

Attasauov is projected to wrestle at 125-pounds or 133-pounds. The Nalchik, Kabardino-Bakaria native — who wrestled in Massachusetts after moving to the U.S. in 2016 — completed his high school career with a 105-5 record.

“When I came on my visit, I just felt it,” Attasauov said in a release. “I really liked the campus, the coaches and my teammates.”
