Iowa State lands in the AP Top 25 for the first time since 2014

On Monday, the Associated Press turned out its top 25 rankings, which featured Iowa State debuting at No. 23.

This is Iowa State’s first time being ranked in the top 25 since 2014.

During the 2013-14 season, Iowa State finished the season 20-11 and lost in the first round of the NCAA tournament 55-44 to Florida State.

So far this season, Iowa State is 5-0 including a preseason WNIT tournament championship.

During the tournament, Iowa State defeated then No. 24 Miami 75-52 to capture the tournament title.

Iowa State has been lead by senior phenom Bridget Carleton, who won the WNIT MVP. This season, Carleton has been averaging an astounding 16.4 points, 11.4 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game.
