ISU womens cross country team finishes ninth at Nuttycombe

No.17 Iowa State women’s cross country team finished ninth at the 2018 Wisconsin Nuttycombe Invitational. The Cyclones knocked off two ranked teams ahead of them nationally in No. 6 N.C. State and No. 13 Penn State.

The Cyclones were led by sophomore Callie Logue and senior Anne Frisbie. Logue finished 21st individually in a time of 20:08.2, while Frisbie finished in 31st with a time of 20:22.7. Sophomore Karly Ackley and senior Abby Caldwell came in neck to neck. Ackley finished in 98th with a time of 21:11.3 and Caldwell finished in 99th place with a time of 21:12.6. Erinn Stenman-Fahey finished in 200th place individually with a time of 22:32.4.

During the “B” Race, Iowa States Morgan Gigandet, Gwynne Wright, Larkin Chapman and Adriana Kramme all had great races this afternoon. Gigandet led the Cyclones finishing in 34th place, followed closely by Wright who finished in 36th. Chapman finished 42nd individually and Kammerer finished in the top half finishing in 56th.
