Cousins Maine Lobster will park their food truck in Ames to serve the community lobster favorites Friday. The company is traveling from Chicago to bring their seafood menu into town.
The food truck will be parked at Theisen’s Home Farm Auto at 1315 S Dayton Avenue. They will be open for business from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday.
The menu for the truck includes lobster rolls, chowders and specialty dishes. There is an option to order ahead to pick up food from the truck using the app. Just set the location in the app to “Chicago, IL,” and they will accept any orders placed after 11 a.m. and before they close the truck that night.
According to the Cousins Maine Lobster event page on Facebook, the company wants customers to know there could be a pause on online orders.
“Due to high demand, there may be times when ordering is temporarily unavailable as we handle a large influx of orders,” according to the Cousins Maine Lobster Facebook. “We do this to ensure the highest quality and the exceptional CML experience you know and love.”
The truck will take orders on sight as well and accepts any major debit/credit card or contactless payment. They are a cashless truck.
Their food truck travel schedule is included here.
The Lobster Truck founders appeared on Shark Tank in 2012 to try and get funding to expand their company. An investment from Barbara Corcoran allowed them to expand to new locations and jump–started their widespread success.
