Iowa State will host its first university-wide CYning Day event Wednesday to celebrate students who have accepted offers for internships, co-ops, research experience, graduate school and post-graduate employment offers.
The event, originally put on by the Ivy School of Business two years ago and then expanded to other colleges, will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in each of the following locations:
- Catt Hall Plaza of Heroines (Colleges of Health and Human Sciences, Liberal Arts and Sciences)
- College of Design atrium (Design)
- Curtiss Hall Harl Commons (College of Agriculture and Life Sciences)
- Gerdin Business Building, Kingland Hallway (Business)
- Marston Hall, room 3200 (Engineering)
Students are invited to attend their respective college’s event, where they will be treated to snacks and have the opportunity to pose for a photo to share on social media.
According to an Inside Iowa State article, Bobbi Sullivan, the director of business career services, said the events will be informal and each college will provide a unique experience to students.
“It is designed to celebrate our students with no pressure, and students can just pop in between classes, bring their friends and supporters, and then go,” Sullivan said in the article. “Vet Med students also are welcome to participate at any of the stations.”
Students who have not signed an offer are invited to meet with their career services office to find support and locate options that best fit their needs. For more information, visit the career services website.
