Members of the exhibition team for the project ‘re-Imagining Leopold’ read statements from a pamphlet consisting of diary-entries from community members regarding farming in Iowa, conservation and nature during the opening of the exhibit at the ReACT gallery located in the Christian Petersen Art Museum at Morrill Hall on Aug. 24. “In a state where 1/8 people struggle with hunger, [Cedar Rapids] hires folks to mow the empty lots where we could be growing food and farmers,” read one of the entries.
