Central Campus had six full tents of clubs for students to explore during ClubFest Sept. 6, 2017.

Each month there are opportunities for students to get involved on campus and have fun. Many important events, including the Study Abroad Fair and Club Fest, will take place in September. Here are events at the end of August and throughout the month of September.

Thursday, Aug. 23

Bookmobile: Ames Public Library

Time: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm

Cost: Free

“In partnership with the university library, the Ames Public Library’s Bookmobile added a regular Iowa State stop to its weekly route. The Bookmobile will park behind Bessey Hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursdays. Items from the Ames Public Library (for all ages) can be checked out, returned or reserved in advance for pick up.”

Friday, Sept. 7

Down and Dirty Swing Dance

Time: 8 to 11 p.m. in the Memorial Union Great Hall

Cost: Free

“Swing dancing lessons are the first half hour, the rest of the event is to have fun and dance to the Sentimental Swing Band.”
