It was a busy week for former Cyclones in the NFL during Week 5, including a passing touchdown from a running back and some first-career touchdowns in a blowout win.
David Montgomery
In the Lions’ win over the Bengals, Montgomery ran for 61 yards and a touchdown, but he also threw a three-yard touchdown pass. The two-touchdown game was also the first time Montgomery’s sister, Kiki Montgomery, got to watch him in person since she was paralyzed in 2024.
Xavier Hutchinson
The Texans won big over the Ravens, and Hutchinson played a big role in that. He had three catches for 18 yards and two touchdowns. His two touchdowns were the first two of his career.
Jaylin Noel
Noel got in on the scoring in the Texans’ 44-10 win by scoring his first career touchdown as well. In total, he brought in two catches for 13 yards and a touchdown.
Jayden Higgins
Despite being the only one of the three former Cyclone receivers not to score for the Texans in Week 5, Higgins had the most catches. Higgins had four catches for 32 yards, his longest going for 14.
Breece Hall
Hall seems to be allergic to the endzone so far this season, but he still put up some impressive numbers in the loss to the Cowboys. Hall averaged 8.1 yards per carry on 14 carries to give him 113 rushing yards. Hall also hauled in four catches for 42 yards.
T.J. Tampa
With some Ravens injuries in the secondary, Tampa saw the field a lot more than in previous weeks. Despite the loss, Tampa had his best game with six total tackles, three of them being solo tackles.
Eyioma Uwazurike
During the upset win over the Eagles, Uwazurike tallied his first sack of the season, taking down Jalen Hurts. He also added two more tackles to his 12 total on the year.
