Former Iowa State wide receiver Allen Lazard was waived Friday by the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars, according to Jaguars beat writer Mike Kaye.

Lazard played at Iowa State from 2014-2017. He finished his career as the program leader in career receptions and career yards. He’s currently second in program history behind Todd Blythe in career touchdowns.

In Jacksonville’s fourth preseason game Thursday, Lazard grabbed three passes for 41 yards. He also had a 5-yard reception in Jacksonville’s first preseason game against the New Orleans Saints on August 9.

Lazard can sign with other NFL teams. If he clears waivers without being claimed, Jacksonville could add him to its practice squad.
