Former Iowa State women’s basketball player Bride Kennedy-Hopoate has found her new home.

After announcing her intention to transfer on March 5, New Mexico announced on Tuesday that Kennedy-Hopoate had become the Lobos’ final signee of the 2018 class.

She will have to sit out the 2018-19 season before being eligible for the 2019-20 season as a redshirt senior.

Kennedy-Hopoate, a center originally from Brisbane, Australia, came to the Cyclones in 2017 after spending a season at Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Kennedy-Hopoate played in 21 games for the Cyclones before a foot injury ended her season. Kennedy-Hopoate started 10 contests for the Cyclones and averaged 6.7 points and 4.2 rebounds in 17.4 minutes per game.
