Iowa State wrestling receives 2018 commit

Kevin Dresser and the Iowa State wrestling program added another commitment to its recruiting class on Wednesday.

Ballard 160-pounder Tate Battani announced his commitment to the Cyclones on Twitter.

Battani finished 3rd at the state tournament in his senior season. The Ballard product competed at the state tournament all four seasons in high school and was named to the Raccoon River All-Conference team his senior season.

In April, Battani originally signed his letter of intent with the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse before switching his decision to the Cyclones.

Battani joins other Iowa State commits Isaac Judge, Francis Duggan, Grant Stotts, Zane Mulder, David Carr, Joel Shapiro, Logan Schumacher, Anthony Sherry, Hunter Dejong, Tyler Buesgens, Brandon Tessau and Charlie Klepps.
