Going to be in Ames over St. Patty’s Day? Have no fear, as there are plenty of places to go and enjoy the day the Irish way.

Dublin Bay – 320 S 16th St

Dublin Bay will be having three performances throughout Saturday, including the Irish Dance Program and a performance from musician Casey Muessigmann. Dublin Bay will be serving up Irish drinks and food all day from open to close. If you’ve never experienced the Dublin Bay, you could make St. Patrick’s day the day.

The Mucky Duck – 3100 S Duff Ave

The Mucky Duck will be opening their doors at 6 a.m. for a traditional Irish breakfast served until 10 a.m. They’ll be serving corned beef and cabbage meals all day from open until close. The Duck will also be featuring Irish sing-alongs as well throughout St. Patrick’s Day.

Whisky River – 134 Main Street

Doors open at 6 a.m. and close at 2 a.m., which means the living like Irish is available from sunrise to sundown. They’ll be serving green eggs and ham until 11 a.m. and corned beef and cabbage until 9 p.m. Stop by and have a pint or two, or if you’re looking for a late night, bar Whisky River will have $3 car bombs and jello shots.

Mickey’s Irish Pub – 109 Welch Ave

Doors open at 10 a.m. and the first 50 patrons are able to receive $2 off any one drink. Drink specials include $3 green beer and $3 Irish whiskey shots as well as $5 car bombs, a staple for any true irishman.
