Before the game against Oklahoma State, Iowa State recognized its three seniors — Donovan Jackson, Jeff Beverly and Hans Brase — during Senior Night. After that ceremony, Oklahoma State (17-13, 7-10 Big 12) took control and never looked back with a 80-71 final score against Iowa State (13-16, 4-13 Big 12).

All three seniors started and combined for 21 points with Jackson leading the trio with 17 points. Brase had five rebounds, while Beverly finished with four rebounds.

Freshman guard Lindell Wigginton led the Cyclones in the first half with 14 points and ended the night collecting 20 points, two rebounds and two assists.

The Cowboys had some key performances from their own seniors as Jeffrey Carroll and Mitchell Solomon stepped up in the victory for Oklahoma State.

Carroll finished the first half with a team-high 13 points and ended the game with 21 points, seven assists and eight rebounds. Solomon earned a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

The biggest statistic tonight was offensive rebounds and second chance points, which Oklahoma State dominated all night. At the end of 20 minutes, the Cowboys led the Cyclones 16-4 in second chance points and 10-4 in offensive rebounds.

The game ended with an Oklahoma State advantage as the Cowboys led 24-4 in second chance points and 15-9 in offensive rebounds.

Iowa State will finish its regular season on the road against Oklahoma on Friday at 8 p.m. in Norman, Oklahoma. The Sooners are 17-11 overall and 7-9 in the Big 12.
