What’s happening this weekend July 14-16

With July being National Anti-Boredom month, Ames has not fallen short on celebrating this holiday, especially this weekend. From Firefly Country Nights presenting Jana Kramer and Jon Langston to three different events happening at Reiman Gardens to Courtney Krause playing at Roosevelt, there is no shortage of happenings to keep you from the dreaded boredom.

Friday, July 14

Firefly Country Nights presents Jana Kramer and opener Jon Langston

The Main Street Cultural District brings rising country stars Jana Kramer and Job Langston to downtown Ames for a night of country. The country theme continues with with an All-American food cuisine for concert goers to feast on consisting of BBQ, lemonade, ice cream, beer, and more.

Enjoy the musical talents of the bands, “Second Chair Brass,” and “Harlan Thomas” all while shopping for varieties of homegrown foods, bakery items, and hand crafted pieces.
