From fireworks to free breakfast, there’s something for everyone this Fourth of July weekend in Ames. Check out what’s happening in the city over the next few days.

4th of July Parade

Downtown Ames

11 a.m. 

The festivities will begin with a pancake breakfast at 8:30, followed by the parade at 11. The Bill Riley Talent Competition will take place from 9 to 11 a.m., and Dock Dog Jumping will be happening from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. WWII veteran Avon Hall will serve as the parade’s Grand Marshal.
