The Oklahoma State Cowgirls came into Ames with one of the most loaded lineups in all of the Big 12. The Iowa State tennis team (15-10, 1-8 Big 12) couldn’t keep up as they lost 4-0 on Senior day.

Natalie Phippen and Sami Budai were both honored before the match and each looked to seal their career off with a win.

The Cowgirls came out fast winning two out of the three doubles by a final score of 6-1 and 6-0 as the number one spot DNF at 5-1.

The Cyclones needed to regroup quickly and come up with something quickly as they found themselves in a big hole.

Iowa State couldnt get it done as the Cowgirls lineup full of ranked talent took over the matches early on.

Oklahoma State took the first two spots in singles by a final of 6-0,6-0 and 6-1,6-0. The Cowgirls offically won when Liera Bender dropped her match at No.6 singles 6-0, 6-0.

The Cowgirls officially claimed their second straight Big 12 regular season championship and fifth straight sweep of an opponent with the win.

Iowa State will prepare for a trip to the Big 12 tournament when they take on the Kansas State Wildcats on April the 27th.
