Jethro’s BBQ is officially setting up shop in Ames. Jethro’s has become quite the Des Moines area staple over the years. Sporting six restaurants across central Iowa with different themes and offerings for anybody’s taste. Ames already has a booming amount of food options combined with Ames staples like Jeff’s Pizza and Hickory Park. So what other food places should make their way to the Ames community?

Zombie Burger

Zombie Burger has been in the Des Moines area for a while now and has expanded to locations in West Des Moines, Ankeny and Iowa City.

Fong’s Pizza

Fong’s Pizza is a Court Avenue staple in Des Moines. After a night out with friends, who doesn’t enjoy a good slice of pizza. With the growing pizza options in Ames, might as well add one more to the list.

A Dong

The Vietnamese restaurant has been in Des Moines since 1989. Recently, the restaurant renovated its building after fire damage caused it to close.

Tasty Tacos

Tasty Tacos has numerous locations sprinkled throughout the Des Moines and surrounding areas. Is it time to give a new spot for Taco Tuesdays?

Olive Garden

Olive Garden isn’t just located in Iowa, however, the food chain is in Des Moines, Ankeny and a host of other Iowa cities and towns. Ames should be next on the list to get an Olive Garden.
