The Iowa State women’s basketball team finished its regular season on a high note Monday night with a 61-48 win over Oklahoma State.

The win was the fifth straight for the Cyclones (18-11, 9-9 Big 12), who finished in fifth place in the Big 12 this season.

Iowa State started all four seniors. In addition to Seanna Johnson and Heather Bowe — both of whom have started games this year — Lexi Albrecht and Jordan Jensen made their first career starts.

The Cyclones dominated from start to finish. Iowa State took a 19-8 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.

Seanna Johnson had 10 points and nine rebounds in the first half to lead Iowa State as the Cyclones finished the first half with a 33-22 lead.

Johnson finished with 18 points and 14 rebounds before checking out to a standing ovation with just under two minutes remaining.

Jadda Buckley chipped in with 15 points, six rebounds and eight assists.

Iowa State will play Kansas State in its first Big 12 Championship game in Oklahoma City on Saturday, March 4.
