Iowa State women’s basketball got back on track Wednesday night with a 79-68 win over Texas Tech at Hilton Coliseum.

Texas Tech started out hot, hitting three 3-pointers and taking a 9-6 lead. The Cyclones turned it around from there. Iowa State outscored Texas Tech 30-19 over the rest of the first half to take a 36-28 lead into the break.

Bridget Carleton led the way in the first half with 13 points on 6-for-9 shooting. She also had six rebounds in the half. Seanna Johnson hit 3-of-3 3-pointers in the first half.

Iowa State maintained a lead for the entire second half. Texas Tech threatened to close within one possession late in the game, but Jadda Buckley’s 12 fourth quarter points sealed the deal for Iowa State.

Buckley and Carleton each finished with 20 points. Carleton also added a game-high 12 rebounds. Seanna Johnson reached 1000 career rebounds to go along with her 15 point, nine rebound performance.
