Jordan Ashton to graduate early, will transfer for final season

Junior guard Jordan Ashton has decided to graduate early this summer and will transfer for his final season of eligibility, according to an ISU spokesperson. 

Tommy Birch of the Des Moines Register was the first to report the news.

Ashton, who earned a scholarship in the fall after walking on, played in 24 games last year. He averaged nearly eight minutes per game. Over the 24 games, he averaged one point per game and had his career high at Kansas State with five points in 19 minutes.

Ashton, a Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, native, averaged 16.4 points per game at Kirkwood Community College two years ago.
