In America, 34.9 percent of the population is obese according to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention. Here are five gadgets to help lower that number.

1. Prepd Pad

It is a lunch box that has containers that have been measured to control portion consumption according to Gizmag. The containers can have any kind of food in it, has leak control, is microwavable safe and can be frozen.

2. Seed Bottle

It tracks how much a person has already drank. If you have not taken a drink of water in a while the lid will vibrate and a reminder is on the LED screen on the top of the lid. If you tap the top of the lid, it will show the temperature of the water you are drinking, and if you twist the lid, it will show your hydration progress according to Tech Insider.

3. Snooze-Proof Alarm

Tech Insider reports the snooze-proof alarm is a pad that is on the ground beside your bed and the alarm will only shut off if you stand on it. The alarm will not go off until you stand on it for at least three seconds, but you can change it to make it longer to help wake yourself up more. There are sensors inside the pad that can feel when you stand on it or not.

4. Exercise Ball

An exercise ball can replace any chair. It helps you burn six percent more calories than a regular chair according to Live Strong. It will help your posture too helping blood flow throughout your body. Plus, it is portable. You can have a chair to sit on wherever.

5. Cold Shoulder Vest

It helps a person burn as much as 500 calories in two hours. The vest has many small pockets of small freezer bags. A person loses weight wearing it because the coldness of the vest lowers your skin temperature making your body burn calories to stay warm as reported by Exam Health.
