Board of Regents to meet over campus safety

A sub-committee of the Iowa Board of Regents will meet at the University of Northern Iowa to discuss the safety of campuses throughout the state’s universities.

The Campus Safety and Security Sub-Committee of the Board of Regents will meet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday in the Maucker Union on Northern Iowa’s campus

There, the committee will hear presentations on topics that include mental health issues on campus, infectious disease procedures and active shooter procedures. 

The sub-committee will also discuss other topics that include an update on the annual campus safety and security reports. 

The next Board of Regents meeting will take place Feb. 24 and 25 at  Iowa State.
