The Cyclones struggled early in game two of their road trip against Ohio, and fell to the Bobcats for the fourth time this season.

The Cyclones were put into an early hole following a first period goal by Michael Harris. The Bobcats carried the momentum into the first intermission, outshooting the Cyclones 10-6 in the first.

The Bobcats kept up the pressure in second, outshooting the Cyclones 9-5 in the period. They also tacked on two more goals from Patrick Spellacy and Mike LaFrenier to extend the lead to 3-0 Ohio.

The Cyclones just couldn’t find the net in the third, as they just couldn’t get past Bobcat goalie Aaron Alkema who finished with a shutout. Ohio would also score three more times en route to their 6-0 win, with two shorthanded goals by Derek Rahme and Thomas Pokorney and a PP goal from Michal Harris, his second of the game.

The Cyclones have a quick turnaround with a two game home stand against Dakota College-Bottineau. The series begins Friday, Dec. 11 at the Ames Ice Arena.
