The Cyclones capped off the Drake Jamboree in dominating fashion behind a red-hot doubles team.

The pairing of Samantha Budai and Liza Buss won its only match of the day, giving it a perfect 5-0 record for the tournament. The pairing rolled through the competition, winning in straight sets at every opportunity.

Alejandra Galvis and Claudia Toledo also won their match, making the Cyclones 2-0 on the day with a 10-3 record for the tournament.

The Cyclones also dominated singles play. They were led by senior Anna Kuuttila, who won her match in three sets to move to 7-1 in singles. The rest of the team also played well en route to a 5-2 record for the day and a team record of 14-7 for the tournament.

After the strong play at Drake, the Cyclones have their sights set on next week’s Juan Varon Wildcat Invitational in Daytona, Fla., which will be their final preseason tournament before the season begins in January.
