No. 5 Cyclone Hockey handled the Illinois State Redbirds on Saturday night at the Ames/ISU Ice Arena.

The Cyclones jumped out to an early three-goal lead and never looked back. The Redbirds threatened in the second period, scoring two unanswered goals, but the Cyclones regained momentum with a goal on a power play.

Seven different players scored seven goals against the Redbirds for the Cyclones to finish the weekend sweep. This was the Cyclones fourth sweep of the year.

The Cyclones play on Tuesday against Williston State, a junior college team, before they play No. 3 Lindenwood next weekend. Lindenwood swept No. 1 Ohio this weekend.
