Women’s cross-country finishes 19th at Roy Griak Invitational

Competing without many of its top runners, the ISU women’s cross-country team placed 19th out of 26 teams at the Roy Griak Invitational on Saturday.

Freshman Kelly Naumann provided one of the few bright spots for the Cyclones on Saturday, placing first for the Iowa State and 55th overall at the meet.

Fellow freshman Anne Frisbie finished third for Iowa State and 78th overall.

Kate DeSimone, Kristin Henson and Erin Norton were the other three scorers for the Cyclones, placing 69th, 137th and 149th, respectively.

ISU women’s cross-country coach Andrea Grove-McDonough has been waiting to run her best runners until the Greater Louisville Classic next Saturday in Louisville, Ky.
