ISU soccer was downed 4-0 on Tuesday in South Bend, Ind., in an exhibition game against Notre Dame to open the 2015-16 season.

The Cyclones were behind from the early outset of the game when Notre Dame’s Glory Williams headed a corner kick into the back of the net in the 19th minute.

Another goal from a corner kick gave Notre Dame a 2-0 lead in the 29th minute.

ISU Soccer didn’t fare much better in the second half, conceding a goal in both the 46th and 79th minutes.

“We got tested,” said head coach Tony Minatta in a press release. “We got some chances going forward and started seeing some things that we were seeing in practice. We are going to get back to training the next couple days and get ready for Northern Illinois.”

The Cyclones’ next game will be at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Cyclone Sports Complex against Northern Illinois.
