The Big 12 Conference announced Monday that the annual interstate rivalry game between Iowa State and Iowa will be aired on Fox on Sept. 12.

The season and home opener against Northern Iowa will be broadcast on the Cyclones.tv channel on Mediacom. Subscribers to Cyclones.tv can also view the game on the computer with their subscription. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

Iowa State defeated Iowa in last season’s CyHawk showdown on a last-second field goal by Cole Netten in Iowa City. That game aired on ESPN.

As it does every season, the series will alternate and come back to Jack Trice Stadium. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.

The first two games of the season will mark the first games with the newly renovated south end zone project at Jack Trice Stadium.
