Getting your ears pierced when you were in elementary school was a really big deal. But it has become more popular to have multiple ear piercings, and sometimes a nose piercing.

Below is a list of five fun and adventurous piercings to try this summer.

You may be confused by several of the names, but make sure to check out the link associated with the name to become for familiar with it.

1.The Septum Piercing

This gutsy trend grew from looking like a “bull ring” to a chic “must-have” piercing. Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Jessica Biel have all sported the septum piercing on several occasions. Septum piercings do not have to be drastic as you can pair them with the smallest hoop for the same effect.

2. The Triple Forward Helix

Although this piercing may be painful and will take several months to heal, it is a very trendy piercing and will be well worth it in the end.

3. The Helix/Scapha Piercing

Just take a look at the picture, and you will know why.

4. The Conch

This is known to be one of the most painful piercings, but beauty (trendiness) is pain, right?

5. Double Nostril Piercing

If you already have your nose pierced this is perfect for you. Get it pierced once more on the same side, and pair it with dainty hoops for a unique look. It is not a common site, but it could become very popular.

Trends come and go, but unlike tattoos, if you don’t like the piercing after you get it, you can simply remove the earring. And don’t worry if you are afraid of needles. There are a wide variety of pain-free clip-ons and ear-cuffs that are easy to remove and look like the real thing.
