Jarvis West’s hopes to play professional football has led him north of the border to pursue his dream. After getting passed by all 32 NFL teams, a Canadian Football League team swooped in and scooped up West on May 13.

The Toronto Argonauts signed the 5-foot-10-inch wide receiver from St. Petersburg, Fla., one of five American or international, according to CFL terms, football players that the Argonauts signed.

The signing is coming off the heels of the Toronto releasing four wide receivers.

West will be joined with former ISU defensive lineman, Cleyon Liang, on the Argonauts.

If West does make Toronto’s roster, his first professional football game will be June 27 against the Edmonton Eskimos.
