Potential presidential candidates headed to Story County this weekend

Potential Republican presidential candidates Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana and former Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania will be in Story County this weekend. 

Jindal will be joined at the Oakwood Road Church in Ames on Saturday morning by Rep. Steve King (R-IA) and conservative talk radio host Simon Conway. 

The Jindal event will begin at 9:30 a.m. with coffee, followed by breakfast and remarks from Jindal, King and Conway at 10 a.m. Tickets are available for $20 at the door or $15 if attendees preregister at storycouuntygop.com.

Sen. Santorum will appear for a meet and greet at 4 p.m. on Sunday at Quirks Grill & Bar, located at 835 6th St. in Nevada, Iowa. Reservations for the meet and greet can also be made at storycountygop.com.

Jindal and Santorum will be attending the Lincoln Dinner in Des Moines Saturday evening with nine other declared or potential Republican candidates.
