Cyclone Market offers fundraising opportunity for student organizations

Cyclone Market will not only offer fun for students, but it will provide an opportunity for ISU student organizations to fund their club.

The event will take place Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Central Campus and more than 35 student organizations will be in attendance fundraising for their club by selling student-made products, food and offering carnival games.

Some organizations, including Dance Marathon and Motion Sickness, will also put on performances at the event.

This will be the second Cyclone Market in ISU history. The first took place in September of last semester.

Cyclone Market was created by the Government of the Student Body in order to help student organizations receive funding.

“Student Government decided to reach out and give back to the clubs,” said Danielle Nygard, the head of the GSB committee organizing the event. “Organizations were always asking us for money, so this is a way for us to give back.”

Student organizations who wish to be involved in next year’s Cyclone Market can contact Danielle Nygard at [email protected].
