ISU boxing club member Olivia Meyer went home with her second consecutive boxing national title belt as she beat US Naval Academy’s Sam Glaeser at the National Collegiate Boxing Association’s National Tournament.

But for the 7-0 ISU junior, it was not only her second time winning a national title, it was her second time winning a regional rematch to take the belt. Last season, Meyer faced Sabrina Kehr of West Virginia in regional competition before taking her on in the national title match to claim her first belt.

In her second year, Meyer faced Glaeser for the title after facing her in the regional match in Ames, beating her by a 3-0 decision in each match.

Meyer will be back for the ISU boxing club next year in hopes of a third straight national title.
