Iowa State is partnering with Western Iowa Technical Community College and Northwest Iowa Community College to offer a more flexible way to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural studies.

Students will take two years of classes at one of the above community colleges, one year of online courses from Iowa State and one year of classes on Iowa State’s campus.

This offers a way for students to earn a degree that they may have thought was impossible before because they could not leave their home, said Ben Chamberlain, academic adviser in agricultural education and studies.

This partnership is made possible through the Northwest Iowa Regents Resource Center, which allows these two community colleges to be in constant connection with the three Iowa universities.

The online courses required for this program are offered through AgOnline Learning.
