Moody named first-team All-Big 12, Williamson, Johnson receive honorable mention

Three members of the ISU women’s basketball team received Big 12 honors today. Nikki Moody was unanimously named to the All-Big 12 first-team and teamamtes Seanna Johnson and Brynn Williamson received honorable mention honors.

Moody, a senior point guard, averaged 14.4 points and 6.9 assists per game on the year. The 6.9 assists per game was good for second in the Big 12 and ninth nationally. Moody also broke the ISU career assist record this season and currently sits at 733 career assists.

This is Moody’s first first-team selection after being named to the second-team All-Big 12 squad last season.

Williamson, a senior sharpshooter for the Cyclones, received honorable mention honors for the first time in her career after a season in which she averaged 11.4 points and 6.2 boards per game.

Williamson started every game this year for the Cyclones and hit a team-high 72 3-pointers.

Johnson’s honorable mention honor comes after a season in which she lead the conference in rebounding at 9.2 rebounds per contest. She also poured in 11.5 points per game on the season.

Johnson was named to the All-Big 12 freshman team last season.
