A look at Chonlada Chayanun’s historic win at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic

After co-leading last week’s UCF Challenge, senior Chonlada Chayanun squandered a chance for her first collegiate win.

Exactly one week removed from her near-miss, Chayanun dominated the field at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in a wire-to-wire five-shot victory.

Below are facts and statistics about her performance that led the Cyclones to finish in third place out of 15 teams:

– Chayanun became the first Cyclone to earn solo medalist honors since Victoria Stefansen in 2007.

– Her total score of 209, seven-under-par, edged out teammate Cajsa Persson by one stroke for the program’s lowest 54-hole total.

– With a 66 in round one, Chayanun tied for the second-lowest 18-hole total in program history.
