For the third time this season, an ISU wrestler has been named Big 12 wrestler of the week.

Tanner Weatherman, a two-time qualifier at 174 pounds, earned wrestler of the week honors after a last-second victory against No. 9 Zach Epperly of Virginia Tech on Jan. 18. Weatherman is 18-5 on the season, including two wins against Epperly.

This is the second time Weatherman, a redshirt junior, has been named Big 12 wrestler of the week in his career. He won the honor once as a redshirt freshman Feb. 11, 2013.

Fellow Cyclone Kyven Gadson was bestowed the same honor Dec. 8, 2014 and Earl Hall was also named wrestler of the week Jan. 6.
