Spring Cyclone Cinema

Dalton Gackle

The volunteers that work in the Student Union Board voted over Thanksgiving break for the movies they want to come to Cyclone Cinema. The list has yet to be released, but I thought I would share what I want to see and what I hope they did not vote for.

Want to see:

Horrible Bosses 2- We all need some comic relief to distract us from homework and this sequel should do just that. I expect it to be on par with the first Horrible Bosses.

The Imitation Game – Benedict Cumberbatch, WWII, a problem-solving plot that makes you think, what’s not to like? I’m excited to see Cumberbatch on the big screen.

The Judge – I love Robert Downey Jr. and a comedy-drama may be the most successful formula for movies as evidenced by Shawshank Redemption and Forrest Gump.

Do not want to see:

Planes: Fire and Rescue – Pixar’s only mistake thus far is the Planes spin-off of the successful Cars movies. I really do not know how they thought a second Planes movie would be a good idea.

Step Up: All In – Three was already too many. Although the third one was the best, I have had enough.

What was probably voted in:

Big Hero Six- College students love animation, especially Disney. I see this having similar success to Wall-E.

Into the Woods – Like I said, college students love Disney. This should be visually similar to Maleficent. Plus it has Anna Kendrick.

Mockingjay- The Hunger Games is a great fit for a college cinema, even though this movie is just a build-up for the next one.
