The ISU women’s rugby team has a couple traditions that are performed before and after every match.
– The first tradition is shaking hands with the players before and after the match to show respect for the other team. On the field, the teams are competing and wanting to win, but before and after, the teams talk with one another to learn about their program.
– After the match, the hosting team invites the visiting team over for dinner and a social opportunity. It’s a time when the players can create friendships all over the country and also learn different strategies to improve their team.
