Transportation

During the four year college experience, living off campus is typical for the average college student. One problem that students tend to face when renting farther from campus, is trying to get to and from campus.

Here are some transportation methods that are available:

  • CyRide

    • The MyState app has bus routes and times for getting to and from campus.

  • Commuter Lots

    • Lot 29, north of Molecular Biology.

    • Lot 68, located off University Blvd. near Haber Road.

    • Lot 119, located at Wanda Daley Drive and Stange Road.

      • Each of these lots require a permit that students can apply for.

    • The commuter lot at Iowa State Center is free and has a CyRide stop.
  • Bike to Campus

    • Bike racks are located outside most buildings around campus.

  • Help Van

    • If a car breaks down or if students do not feel comfortable walking back to their apartment, the help van is available for service.

    • Telephone number for the help van: (515) 294-4444.

  • Parking Passes for specific lots

    • Parking passes are available for numerous parking lots around campus.

    • Students can purchase a parking pass for these lots.
