NFL: Le’Veon Bell leads Steelers past Titans

With every team in the AFC North having two wins over .500 the Pittsburgh Steelers could not afford losing to the AFC South Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football.

Each and every game is going to matter for the remainder of the season for North teams as a team with a 9-7 record could be missing the playoffs due to the four teams current play.

Le’Veon Bell made sure the Steelers, for now at least, are not going to be the team to start losing.

The second-year back took 33 carries for 204 yards and a touchdown, squeaking out a 27-24 victory.

The Titans defense sacked Ben Roethlisberger five times and had him looking uncomfortable in the pocket on the way to a double-digit lead in the third quarter. But, Pittsburgh turned to Bell instead what has been Roethlisberger, Martavias Bryant and Antonio Brown in recent weeks.

It is pretty safe to say the Titans, now at 2-8, are playing for draft position at this point. Fans are probably hoping they tank to fix some of their ongoing woes, but Titans will search to turn these losses into wins next week at Philadelphia against the powerful Eagles.

For the Steelers, they now have the most wins (7-4) in the AFC North, and perhaps most importantly, they will be heading into their much needed bye week if they are still in hopes of winning the division.
