Monte Morris was perfect.

The sophomore point guard was not perfect from the field despite shooting 7-9 on his way to a career-high 19 points, but he was perfect in the most crucial stat for point guards-turnovers.

Morris is the extension of ISU coach Fred Hoiberg on the court, essentially a director of traffic, and when he makes mistakes, accidents happen.

Against the Georgia State Panthers, however, Morris was flawless in that regard. He posted nine assists and zero turnovers, helping to stave off a poor first half of shooting from most of his teammates that allowed the Panthers to hang around 35-29 at the break.

Morris was joined by senior Dustin Hogue, who was one of the few Cyclones to boast two productive halves, finishing the game with 15 points and seven rebounds.
