Top 5 M-Shop acts from the fall semester:

  1. Set It Off

While Set It Off is currently touring with alternative powerhouses Black Veil Brides and Falling In Reverse, they still rocked the M-Shop as if it were a sold out arena. Frontman Cody Carson had plenty of energy to catch anyone’s attention.

  1. The Dodos

The Dodos subtle blend of folk and rock led to a feel good night of both laid back and upbeat tunes that sucked in both fans and newcomers alike. Singer-guitarist Meric Long and drummer Logan Kroeber’s chemistry was on point all night.

  1. Rudy Francisco

Spoken word artist Rudy Francisco’s overwhelming charm came from his clever wordplay and his earnestly honest stories such as: “To the Girl who works at Starbucks down the street from my house on Del Mar Heights Road; I swear to God, I’m not a stalker.”

  1. Gardens and Villa

Santa Barbara’s Gardens and Villa’s synth-tinged pop led to an intimate and shameless dance party in which no one in the audience could keep from busting a move or two. Frontman Chris Lynch’s charming chatter won the audience over.

  1. Chadwick Stokes

Boston’s Chadwick Stokes had the audience grinning from ear to ear all night long. Whether it was Chad Urmston’s playful banter with fellow band members or returning tracks from Urmston’s other groups, Dispatch and State Radio, such as “Bang Bang” and “Right Me Up.” Chadwick Stokes’ soaring acoustic jams had the audience dancing and singing along, leading to a truly unforgettable show.
